Gibbs House Swings and hardware are built to hold approximately 700 pounds. Please consult a qualified professional in selecting the hanging location of your swing to perfectly suit your needs.

Gibbs House Swings are made with durable wood species, constructed to stand the test of time both indoors and outdoors. It is advised, however, to hang your new fixture on a covered porch or otherwise covered space. Our wood is well-suited for temperate climates so our current collection will experience more weathering in high sulfur areas, like the beach. Please contact your Gibbs House team for specific questions regarding installation.

Gibbs House porch swings are built to order and are usually ready for pickup or shipping within 4-6 weeks.

Gibbs House Design proudly offers Sunbrella Fabric for all cushions and pillows. This renowned brand has been respected since the 1960’s as the premier distributor of outdoor fabric amongst designers. It is solution dyed, acrylic fabric, making it fade-proof, weather resistant, and easy to wash. Most stains can be easily removed with a mixture of mild dish soap and water.

Additionally Gibbs House custom cushions and pillows are quick drying! Each upholstered item from Gibbs House utilizes a weather resistant liner underneath the Sunbrella cover which repels water, keeping the cushion dry and enabling a quicker drying time.

Within the weather resistant liner is a high-density porous foam (mattress) or fiber filling (pillows), all of which are suitable for outdoor environments.

To best maintain life of cushions and pillows, bring them inside when not in use, use outdoor furniture covers, or angle the cushions upward so they are not laying flat after use. The most likely culprits for mildew accumulation are the presence of yard debris atop the cushions (decomposing leaves, etc.) and standing water.

TO CLEAN:

1. Brush dirt or debris off of surface
2. Hose item(s) off, allowing for 24 hours to dry
3. Clean up spills immediately and visit Sunbrella’s website to purchase brand- specific cleaning products
