Your order includes your finished swing (paint or stain included) and whatever accessories you choose to purchase, including hanging hardware, upholstered mattress, or pillows.

Gibbs House Swings and hardware are built to hold approximately 700 pounds. Please consult a qualified professional in selecting the hanging location of your swing to perfectly suit your needs.

Gibbs House Swings are made with durable wood species, constructed to stand the test of time both indoors and outdoors. It is advised, however, to hang your new fixture on a covered porch or otherwise covered space. Our wood is well-suited for temperate climates so our current collection will not weather well in high sulfur areas, like the beach. Please consult a professional to make sure it is hung in a location that can support the necessary weight capacity.

Gibbs House porch swings are built to order and are usually ready for pickup or shipping within 2-4 weeks.

Gibbs House Design proudly offers Sunbrella Fabric for all cushions and pillows. This renowned brand has been respected since the 1960’s as the premier distributor of outdoor fabric amongst designers. It is solution dyed, acrylic fabric, making it fade-proof, weather resistant, and easy to wash. Most stains can be easily removed with a mixture of mild dish soap and water.

Additionally, Gibbs House custom cushions and pillows are quick drying! Rather than upholstering typical bed mattresses, we have intentionally chosen high density, outdoor foam inserts. Both these inserts and the Sunbrella Fabric are brilliantly designed for water to pass through, leaving your cushions dry and slow to wear. This means that the Gibbs House mattresses and cushions are also mold and mildew resistant!

To best maintain life of cushions and pillows, bring them inside when not in use, use outdoor furniture covers, or angle the cushions upward so they are not laying flat after use. The most likely culprits for mildew accumulation are the presence of yard debris atop the cushions (decomposing leaves, etc.) and standing water.

TO CLEAN:

1. Brush dirt or debris off of surface

2. Hose item(s) off, allowing for 24 hours to dry

3. Clean up spills immediately and visit Sunbrella’s website to purchase brand- specific cleaning products

At Gibbs House Design, we celebrate creativity and embrace a desire to be unique! We are delighted to offer alternate swing finishes at no extra cost. Just contact us before or after you order to submit your customization! We are (beyond!) excited to offer customized upholstery options in the future but do not at this time.

We do not install swings. We recommend you consult with a professional before installing your swing. Gibbs House is not responsible or liable for swing installation.
